In this month’s episode, Ryan Eaton welcomes Greg Rudisill, Senior VP of Strategic Partnerships at Careington International. Rudisill has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, leading him to his executive role. He joins the podcast to share his wealth of knowledge on growing value in partnerships.
An important component of any company's business model is its key partnerships. A key partnership in business is a symbiotic relationship in which each partner extracts value from the other.
As Rudisill points out, symbiotic relationships deliver more than just products and services. In order to achieve a symbiotic relationship, you have to go beyond just delivering a product or service to people, but you have to also drive value in other areas they cannot.
One of the most significant things I’ve learned in life is the importance of building relationships.
A weak team creates a weak culture. It has never been more difficult for workplaces to retain employees. Creating relationships within your team is important to attracting and retaining your team for longer periods of time.
According to Rudisill, your team needs to know that you value them. Value is created when you show your appreciation, ask questions and listen to those around you.
The key to building strong relationships with your team is to create a safe place where laughter, listening and encouraging your team to feel confident in conversations.
Establishing a team relationship and business partnership is most successful if you communicate properly, respect each other, and above all remain transparent.
